All Kephra Oasis members please arrive at 1 pm for an Oasis business meeting, all other guests please arrive by 5pm. Everyone is asked to please bring a contribution to the feast.
Thanks to all members who attended the Gnostic Mass training yesterday, followed by the Breaking of Bread ritual in the evening. Congratulations to the three newly baptised members of EGC, and welcome to our Holy Church!
We now have a good starting point on which to build regular public Masses in future, so more announcements to come on that front soon.
Open to all initiated members who feel a vocation to serve as officers in Liber XV, The Gnostic Mass. This will be a full day’s training in Mass performance, culminating with Baptism or Confirmation for those that require these sacraments.
The class will be held at our Cavan location.
Please bring a white robe and a copy of Liber XV. The text can be found at:
Major thanks to everyone who helped make our recent round of initiations a highly enjoyable and successful weekend. Congratulations to all of our newly-made initiates, and welcome to our new Minerval! Special thanks to Brother Simon who came all the way from Wales to assist us.
Our next initiations are planned for August, so application forms for those should be in by early July at latest. We are hoping to do more Minerval initiations then too, so anyone who is not already a member and would like to join us, do please get in touch.
Thanks to all who attended a very successful initiation ritual training day on Saturday! It was great to have so many people there learning about how our initiation rituals work, and sharing their thoughts and experiences. It was also great to have other Brethren from around the world attending via Internet video conferencing – we had people from England, Wales, and the USA there for pretty much the whole day, and their input was extremely welcome and valuable.
Our next event will be initiations into the Minerval, First, and Second Degrees of O.T.O. on May 5th, which promises to be another big step forward in our Order’s progress here in Ireland.
Thanks to all who attended our Equinox celebration on March 17th. Despite it being new to most of the attendees, the Invocation of Horus was very powerful and effective, and highly enjoyed by everyone. The feast afterwards was spectacular too. We were particularly happy to welcome several non-members to celebrate with us. Our next two scheduled meetings are for OTO initiates only, but we hope to have more open meetings very soon.
On May 5th we will be performing another round of initiations into the Minerval, I* and II* Degrees of OTO. We should have received all applications for initiation on this date already, so if you would like to be considered for initiation for then, please contact us immediately. All members are encouraged to attend to welcome our new Sisters and Brothers into our Holy Order.
A full day class for all OTO initiates in which we will go through the Degrees from Minerval to II*. If you would like to be an officer for future initiations you must attend this class, but all who have undergone initiation will find the class useful for increasing their understanding of our Degree system. Members only – please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
On March 17th we will be celebrating the Equinox (a little early) by performing the Invocation of Horus by Aleister Crowley at our Cavan location. This ritual is a commemoration of the anniversary of Crowley’s successful performance of it in Cairo, which brought about the opening of the New Æon. Crowley actually began the invocation ceremony around 10:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 1904, and completed it just after midnight.
This event is open to all members and invited guests, so if you would like to come along, please contact us. A detailed explanation of the ritual can be found in Chapter 2 of Grimoire of Aleister Crowley, or in basic form here.
